Chaplaincy for Banbury – launch

New for 2018 we’re really pleased to announce the launch of the  ecumenical initiative Chaplaincy for Banbury.

Workplace Chaplaincy is what we do. It’s mission, not evangelism, it’s being where people are and where the Church is usually isn’t, reaching the parts not reached by parochial ministry. It’s being alongside people, listening, responding pastorally and signposting them, if necessary, to other organisations which may be able to meet their specific needs. It’s the face of the Church which people don’t usually see. It’s going to you rather than expecting you to come to us on Sundays. We are there for all people of whatever faith (or none) at all levels and the conversations are of course confidential. It’s about exploring what God is already doing in the workplace, and trying to help him!

Everyone is warmly invited to the special service launching the Chaplaincy and the new Banbury Town Centre Chaplains.

It’s on Thursday 18 January 2018 at 7.30 pm at St Mary’s Church. There’ll be refreshments afterwards.
