Sunday Services

Welcome to our Sunday service at St Mary’s Church Banbury. Here you can find details, including times, of the various services taking place at our church.

Said Holy Communion (Church of England)
This is a fairly quiet, reflective service. There are no hymns but there is normally a sermon which seeks to apply the bible to everyday life. The service alternates between using the language of the Book of Common Prayer and the more contemporary Common Worship liturgy.
Parish/Family Holy Communion (Church of England)
This is the largest gathering on a Sunday. The first Sunday of each month is all age, so all the generations worship together. During term time on other Sundays, we run Adventurers aimed principally at Primary School age children. There are hymns led by a robed choir with a sermon which seeks to make contemporary application. Refreshments, including filter coffee, is served afterwards.
United Reformed Church worship
This is the main worship gathering for the United Reformed Church at St Mary's.
