POETRY BLOG NO 4 – 4th OCTOBER 2020

This poem was penned at  the beginning of the Coronavirus ( COVID) Lockdown in England.

On one of our daily walks in the People’s Park in Banbury, on a bright sunny morning on April 15th, we came upon this wonderful flower bed at the Warwick Road end of the Park.

This lifted our spirits and  some of the gloom emanating from the pandemic, pointing  to a more hopeful future.  This prompted me to write these few simple lines.

At this harvest time they also serve to remind us of the bounty of creation.

Lines occasioned by a visit to the Peoples’ Park, Banbury

on April 15th 2020, during the Coronavirus Lockdown.

I wandered in the Peoples’ Park,

A veritable Noah’s ark!

Of fauna, flora; all astound!

You only need to look around.

God’s creation in abundance.

Nothing happens just by chance.
